Ian Edwards talks with Fran Kelly on Radio National about The Blind Chef

When chef Ian Edwards lost his eyesight three years ago, he thought it would end his decades-long culinary career — instead, it transformed it.


He now runs an initiative called 'The Blind Chef', which trains vision-impaired people to work in the hospitality and food services industry.


Ian runs the project out of a restaurant in Lake Macquarie on the New South Wales Central Coast.


Now, his project is being featured in a three-part series, The Employables, which airs 22 August on SBS.
